Alro stocks mechanical carbon tubing, ASTM A513-Type 2 CREW tube, in cold rolled electric welded condition and furnished in steel grades 1008 to 1015. A513 is the lowest cost mechanical tubing available, it is formed from hot rolled strip steel and then cold reduced. This process creates tighter tolerances and improved surface over Type 1. Alro stocks A513-T2 CREW (Cold Rolled Electric Resistance Welded).
ASTM A513-Type 2 is typically selected when exposed surfaces require good cosmetic appearance. A513-Type is is typically available in round as well as square tube.
